European Parliament to Debate Georgia
The European Parliament will hold a debate on January 21 about the situation in two countries: Georgia and Belarus. The debate is scheduled for 16:00 Tbilisi time.
In addition, a report on the recent parliamentary elections in Georgia will be presented at a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. This meeting will take place from January 27-31 in Strasbourg.
A delegation from the Council of Europe visited Georgia earlier this month to check if the country is following its rules as a member of the organization. The visit was made by co-rapporteurs Claude Kern and Edite Estrela, who are part of the European Parliament’s PACE Delegation.
