**Young Man Attacked in Belgrade**

A young man was beaten up when he tried to take down a banner with an offensive symbol in Belgrade. The incident happened on Tuesday.

The banner, which showed a red hand giving the finger, had been put up across a bridge by supporters of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Environmental activists from Eko straza organization wanted it taken down, but one of their members was attacked instead.

In another incident on Tuesday, two environmental activists took down a similar banner at Mostar junction in Belgrade. They were confronted by a group of people who had been guarding the banner. One of the activists was assaulted and his phone was thrown off the bridge. The other activist, a woman, was pushed around.

**Young Man Injured**

The young man who tried to take down the original banner suffered injuries to his face and leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment. Police took statements from everyone involved in the incident.
