**Ukrainian President Visits Wounded Soldiers in Hospital**
On January 19, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena Zelenska visited soldiers who were wounded while fighting at the front. They met with the soldiers in a hospital in Kyiv.
The war against Russia has had a big impact on the mental health of Ukrainian soldiers. Many have been injured or witnessed traumatic events, which can lead to stress and anxiety. The government is trying to help these soldiers get better access to medical care and support.
During their visit, President Zelensky thanked the soldiers for defending Ukraine and its people. He said that every front was important and that they were heroes. Wounded soldiers received awards for their service.
The president and his wife also met with military medics and psychologists to discuss ways to help soldiers recover from their experiences. They talked about introducing new programs to support mental health, such as stress control groups and psychological rehabilitation departments in hospitals.
**Supporting Mental Health**
First Lady Olena Zelenska emphasized that mental health support should not only be for the wounded soldiers but also for their families and medical staff who have been under a lot of pressure. She said that comprehensive support is needed to help them cope with stress and trauma.
The president also highlighted an initiative called “Movement Without Barriers,” which aims to make cities more accessible for people with disabilities. This project is part of the first lady’s efforts to improve accessibility in Ukraine.
