**Ukrainian Metro Engineer Arrested for Helping Russian Forces**
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has arrested a Kyiv Metro engineer accused of helping Russia’s military. The engineer allegedly created a network of agents who provided information to the Russians, allowing them to target Ukrainian troops and cities.
According to the SBU, the engineer was recruited by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in 2015. After Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, he was tasked with creating a network of agents to monitor Ukrainian troop movements. The agents used cell phones to send information about Ukraine’s military positions to the FSB.
Two other suspects were also arrested, including a Kharkiv resident who had deserted the Ukrainian army and worked for Ukrainian Railways. Another suspect was an international road transport driver who identified and shared the coordinates of military checkpoints.
**High Treason Charges**
The three suspects face charges of high treason, which can carry a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. The engineer is also accused of personally directing Russian missile strikes on Kyiv, according to intercepted conversations.
