MEP Urges Action Against Georgian Regime
The European People’s Party (EPP) family is firm in their stance against the current Georgian government. This was stated by MEP Rasa Juknevičienė, who serves as the permanent rapporteur for Georgia in the European Parliament.
According to her Twitter post, the EPP family does not recognize the legitimacy of the current Georgian regime. They are urging for new free and fair elections to be held in the country. The MEP also called for targeted sanctions against officials from the ruling party, Georgian Dream, who are responsible for democratic backsliding.
