**UK to Finance Air Defense and Long-Range Weapons in Ukraine**
The UK will fund the production of air defense systems and long-range weapons for Ukraine, said Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on January 13. Umerov met with UK Defense Secretary John Healey in London.
Ukraine plans to spend a record $35 billion on arms production this year, with $17 billion coming from the Ukrainian government. The rest will be financed by allies, including the UK.
Ukraine has been developing its own military capabilities, including drones and missiles. The country aims to produce at least 30,000 long-range drones in 2025.
**Poland Exhumes Polish Victims’ Remains**
Exhumation of remains of Polish victims of the Volyn tragedy will begin in April in Ukraine’s Ternopil Oblast, reported RMF FM on January 13.

**Germany Delivers Howitzers to Ukraine**
Germany delivered its first batch of promised 54 RCH 155 self-propelled howitzers, said Foreign Minister Boris Pistorius on January 13. Six out of the 54 howitzers will remain in Germany for training purposes.
**EU Increases Humanitarian Aid**
The European Union is allocating an additional 140 million euros ($143 million) in humanitarian assistance for Ukraine, announced the European Commission on January 13.
**Ukraine Allows Foreign Companies to Modernize Military Equipment**
Ukraine’s government has approved a measure allowing foreign companies to participate in modernizing military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said the Defense Ministry on January 13.
