**Opposition Party Joins Investigative Commission**

The “People’s Power” faction of the parliamentary opposition has agreed to join an investigative commission looking into alleged crimes committed during the United National Movement’s rule (2003-2012).

This decision was made after Georgian Dream, the ruling party, announced plans for the commission. The move is in line with parliamentary rules that allow the majority party to hold half of the seats in a temporary commission.

**Opposition Fulfills Quota**

Guram Macharashvili, a member of “People’s Power,” said their participation meets the opposition quota. He added that details about the commission’s composition and membership will be finalized early next month.

“We believe that until the United National Movement is held accountable, our country can’t move forward,” Macharashvili stated. He claimed international court decisions have already established that systematic crimes were committed during UNM’s rule.

**Investigation Planned**

The opposition party plans to actively participate in the commission’s work. They believe it won’t take much investigation to prove that UNM is a criminal organization.

Macharashvili compared their case to the prosecution of Hitler’s party, saying evidence is already available. “This is akin to how they gathered evidence against Hitler’s party,” he said.
