US Congressman Joe Wilson has made a promise to work with Donald Trump on holding fair elections in Georgia.
Wilson, the Chairman of the US Helsinki Commission, made this statement on his X page. He wrote: “America does not recognize the Ivanishvili regime.”
This means that the US government does not accept the current government in Georgia as legitimate. Wilson also mentioned a law called the Georgian Nightmare Non-Recognition Act. This law continues an American tradition of not recognizing governments that are unfair and tyrannical.
Wilson said that he and Donald Trump will work together to make sure elections in Georgia are fair and free.
