**Parents of School Shooter Found Guilty**
A 14-year-old boy killed nine students and a school security guard at Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Belgrade on May 3, 2023. The boy’s parents, Vladimir and Miljana Kecmanovic, were found guilty by the Higher Court in Belgrade.
**No Trial for Shooter**
Under Serbian law, the shooter cannot be held criminally responsible or stand trial because he was under 14 at the time of the crime.
**Parents’ Sentences**
Vladimir Kecmanovic, the boy’s father, was sentenced to 14 years and 6 months in prison. Miljana Kecmanovic, the boy’s mother, was sentenced to three years in prison. Both were found guilty of neglect and abuse of a minor.
**Instructor Also Found Guilty**
Nemanja M., an instructor at a shooting range where the boy practiced, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for giving false testimony.
