Alain Berset Arrives in Georgia
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, has arrived in Tbilisi, Georgia. He was met at the airport by Lasha Darsalia, a deputy minister.
Berset will meet with top Georgian officials during his visit. These include Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Chairman Shalva Papuashvili, and President-elect Mikheil Kavelashvili.
He will also visit a village near the border that Russia occupies. This is part of Berset’s official visit to Georgia from December 17-21.
