US Supports Georgia’s Legitimate Leader
The United States supports the country that was chosen by its people, said Matthew Miller, a spokesperson for the US Department of State.
At a recent briefing, a journalist asked Miller who the current president of Georgia is. The question seemed simple, but Miller did not give a straightforward answer. Instead, he said “you know who the duly elected president is.”
In other words, Miller was saying that everyone knows who the legitimate leader of Georgia is, without needing to mention any names.
