**EU Stands by Georgia**
The European Union is committed to supporting Georgia’s democratic values and its path towards a European future. This was stated by Dubravka Šuica, Vice President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography.
Šuica spoke on behalf of EU High Representative Kaja Kallas in debates at the European Parliament about Georgia. She said that the EU will continue to support civil society and independent media in Georgia. This is important because they need help during a critical time.
