Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Postponed
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony planned for tonight has been postponed. This decision was made by the Tbilisi City Hall.
President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, spoke to citizens gathered at a protest on Rustaveli Avenue. She told them not to provoke each other and to stay peaceful.
“We will not allow any provocation here,” President Zurabishvili said. “You are in my heart.”
The crowd cheered in response, shouting “Thank you” and “Long live the President of Georgia!”
