US Ambassador Meets with Georgian Journalists
The US ambassador to Georgia met with local journalists. He called them brave for telling the public important news.
In a statement, the embassy said that media is very important in a democracy. They also condemned violence against journalists and citizens of Georgia. This happened recently due to actions by the party “Georgian Dream”.
The ambassador supports journalists who are doing their job without fear of being hurt or punished. He believes they should be able to work freely, sharing truths with the public.
