USA Not Happy with Georgia’s Actions
The USA is not happy with some decisions made by the Georgian government. The US State Department’s Matthew Miller said this at a briefing.
He explained that the US does not like how Georgia is moving away from closer ties with Europe and the US. Miller stated that the US has already taken steps to show its concern.
These steps include putting sanctions on Georgian officials, limiting their visas, and withholding $95 million in funds. Miller said these measures are a clear sign of the US’s worry about Georgia’s actions.
Despite this, Miller made it clear that the US stands with the people of Georgia.
