**UN Gives Ukraine $2.1 Billion in Aid**

The United Nations’ World Food Program has promised to give Ukraine $2.1 billion over the next three years. This was announced by Ukraine’s Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal.

He said the money will be used for several things:

* Helping people affected by the war
* Supporting civilians and continuing the work of removing landmines from areas previously controlled by Russian forces
* Helping Ukraine sell its agricultural products to other countries

The war between Russia and Ukraine has caused big problems for the country’s farmers. The UN estimates that the damage is worth around $80 billion.

Before the war, Ukraine was able to feed 400 million people worldwide. But now, supply chains have been broken and trade routes have been disrupted, leading to higher food prices globally.
