Protesters Set Up Camp on Chavchavadze Avenue
Tbilisi, Georgia – Protesters have set up two tents on Chavchavadze Avenue, near Tbilisi State University. The protest will continue through the night and participants plan to stay until it ends.
Opposition politicians say they had to return to this spot because of a disagreement with police earlier today. Police used force to clear the area on Melikishvili Avenue, where protesters were gathered all day. After police left, the demonstrators moved to Chavchavadze Avenue.
The protesters plan to stay here until their demands are met.
