Ukraine’s president emphasizes the importance to US leadership in the world and says that they have agreed to maintain dialogue and collaboration.
Zelenskyy reported on X that the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Donald Trump after his election victory in the US.
The US presidential elections took place on November 5, with Donald Trump, the former Republican president, defeating incumbent Vice-President Kamala Harris in the early hours of the next day. Harris was expected to continue Biden Administration support for Ukraine’s fight against Russia. Trump, on the other hand, frequently pledged to reduce US aid to Ukraine and push peace negotiations.
