The recall of the ambassador for consultations is a clear and unfortunate proof that Germany is in the phase of a complete review of bilateral relations with Georgia – severing relations is a classic handwriting of the Dream, which at the same time is a Russian assignment, – Grigol Gegelia, Foreign Secretary of Lelo-Strong Georgia, stated while assessing the decision of the German Foreign Ministry to recall the German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, for consultations.
According to Gegelia, Georgian Dream has achieved the impossible and reached the lowest point in the history of Georgian-German bilateral relations.
“The recall of the ambassador for consultations is the clearest and most unfortunate proof that Germany is practically in the phase of a complete review of bilateral relations with Georgia. This is a direct merit of the actions of the de facto regime of Georgia, this terrorist group, the Georgian Dream. They have achieved the impossible and reached the lowest point in the history of Georgian-German bilateral relations. This has a very serious impact on Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic future, on the economic stability of our country and, naturally, on the political and geopolitical stability of our country in general. Germany, of course, is one of the leading states of the European Union, an extremely important partner in the defense of a free, sovereign, stable Georgia. Such a breakdown in relations with it is the classic handwriting of the Dream, which at the same time represents a Russian assignment,” Grigol Gegelia said.
In addition, Gegelia responded to the ongoing meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg, at which the issue of Georgia will also be discussed.
“The Foreign Ministerial will, of course, discuss all the events that are developing in our country. This is an extremely sad moment when the Foreign Ministers of the European Union are discussing not how to give Georgia a further perspective, how to deepen relations with our state, in economic, political or social terms. Instead, they are discussing how to stop all types of cooperation with the Georgian state, because the regime has seized the state. Also, instead of a democratic government, in reality, today this state is ruled by a de facto regime of a terrorist, criminal gang called the Georgian Dream. It is doing everything it can to undermine Georgia’s European future,” Gegelia said.
