 The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finland’s Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen, visited the occupation line.
“Today, I witnessed the excellent work of the EU Monitoring Mission in maintaining stability on the ground for the benefit of local communities. The OSCE and our Special Representative Christoph Späth work together with the mission to support this important effort,” Valtonen wrote in a post published on the social platform X.
According to her statement, Finland, as the OSCE chair country, firmly supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Finland, as the OSCE chair country, strongly supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, as stipulated in the Helsinki Principles. We call on Russia to fulfill the obligations outlined in the 2008 agreement and return to pre-conflict positions,” Valtonen wrote.
