United National Movement Chairwoman Tina Bokuchava and First Deputy Chairman Levan Sanikidze met with members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European Commission and representatives of the office of European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas during their visit to Brussels.
According to Tina Bokuchava, they will do everything for sanctions to be Imposed on Bidzina Ivanishvili and his entourage.
“Today, we had meetings throughout the day at the European Commission, including at the Foreign Ministry, as well as in the European Parliament. While Ivanishvili has put millions of Georgian citizens at risk of losing visa-free travel, we are working in Brussels, as well as in the capitals of EU member states, to suspend visa-free travel only for targeted groups – Ivanishvili, his entourage, propagandists, financial elite, abusers, judges who make political decisions, and not to sanction Georgian citizens. This is Ivanishvili’s goal, but we will do everything to prevent this from happening and we will do everything to impose sanctions on Ivanishvili and his entourage, be it financial sanctions or a temporary suspension of visa-free travel for targeted groups,” said Tina Bokuchava, whose comments were released by the party’s press service.
