Irakli Beraia has been appointed as Georgia’s representative to NATO. The information is disseminated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Irakli Beraia has held positions such as First Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Georgia and Head of the Intelligence Service of Georgia at various times.
For years, Irakli Beraia served as Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee in the Georgian Parliament. He also served as the leader of the parliamentary delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
At various periods, Irakli Beraia worked as Director of the National Investment Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and Director of the Reforms and Development Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” the statement reads.
