Papuashvili explained that the country’s sovereignty is threatened by anyone who interferes in the country’s internal affairs.
“We saw several European countries interfering in the Georgian elections in 2024, including the European Union itself, in the form of its ambassador, who interfered in the Georgian elections, making political comments regarding the election campaign. To give you a simple example, the EU ambassador assessed our election banner, you remember, he called it disgusting. Of course, no one asks him what our election banner should look like, but when he talks about the banner of one party and the election strategy or tactics of one party, it means that he is engaged in a campaign against this one party. Which one can I name, when even the EU ambassador himself was involved in encroaching on our sovereignty by interfering in the elections,” Papuashvili said.
