 Law enforcement officers seized a firearm and a particularly large amount of drugs – two individuals have been arrested, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
Specifically, employees of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative activities, arrested two persons — T.T., born in 2004, and A.B., born in 1996 and previously convicted — on charges of group cultivation of a plant containing a particularly large amount of narcotic substances, illegal purchase and possession of a large amount of narcotic substances, facilitation of their distribution in group form, and illegal purchase, possession, and carrying of a firearm.
The crimes are punishable by up to 12 years of imprisonment.
“During the searches of the defendants’ persons, vehicles, and residences, as well as in various locations where they had hidden items, law enforcement officers seized as evidence 10 packages of narcotic substances, 15 cannabis plants containing narcotic substances, 2 pistols, a magazine, and 14 cartridges.
As a result of investigative actions, materials intended for packaging narcotics were also seized, specifically: adhesive tapes, polyethylene zip-lock bags, and an electronic scale.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 260¹, 265, and 236 of the Criminal Code,” the statement reads.
