I always get the feeling that he [Paata Burchuladze] is “Anita 2”, because he speaks such crazy things that I personally think he was sent to break up the people who gather there in exchange for certain interests. Now they are afraid of prison, because there is law, there is a legal state, – said the chairman of the Parliamentary Diaspora Committee, Irakli Zarkua.
According to him, everyone should know that Georgia is a legal state, where any person who violates the law is held accountable.
“The European standard is even stricter. People have been imprisoned for months and years for some comment on Facebook – we don’t do that, we are a more lenient government, but if there are calls for overthrow and violation of the constitutional order, naturally, the law will react to this and it does. I call on everyone, this is a peaceful pre-election environment, whoever wants to participate, there is a designated place for those who want a boycott regime, and they can boycott each other as much as they want. As soon as they do things that are not allowed, the law is strict and we will act by force of law.
Whether it is an ordinary representative of an NGO or a rich representative of an NGO, whoever commits violations, will go where the force of law requires, so be careful. We do not intimidate anyone, nor do we threaten anyone, we just want everyone to know – this is a legal state, whoever breaks the law, everyone will be held accountable,” Irakli Zarkua noted.
