Unfortunately, Brussels has strayed from European values, which primarily involve dialogue and conversation—we didn’t break away from Moscow only to have Brussels look down on us with the same arrogance as the Soviet center did, said Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
According to Papuashvili, “in the approaches seen in Brussels today, it is difficult to find any connection to European values or European approaches.”
As Papuashvili noted, “despite the attacks coming from Brussels’ bureaucracy, Georgia is moving forward economically, and peace and stability are ensured in the country.”

This once again shows that people buried in bureaucratic papers, these bureaucrats, cannot see the people in other countries, cannot see Georgians. Ultimately, they harm themselves in the eyes of the Georgian people. As for Georgia, despite the attacks and false narratives spread by Brussels’ bureaucracy, Georgia is moving forward economically, and peace and stability are ensured in our country.
Thus, the one being harmed is Brussels and Brussels’ reputation in the eyes of Georgians,” Papuashvili stated.
