Any radical scenario, talk of a peaceful uprising, is absolutely unacceptable for our political party, and we will not be part of any process that involves radicalization or confrontation for even a single minute. This could have very grave consequences for the country, said Berdia Sichinava, one of the leaders of “Gakharia for Georgia,” on PalitraNews’ program “Free Studio”.
According to Berdia Sichinava, announcing the date of an uprising is irresponsible toward one’s own citizens.
“After October 26, people are very disappointed. We need to move forward from this; we must overcome nihilism. When we set a specific date, October 4, for an uprising to take place, I don’t want people to be disappointed. That’s why I believe such statements are irresponsible toward our citizens, which could lead to enormous disappointment that will be very difficult to manage afterward. Let there not be any blame-shifting from these political parties afterward, claiming it’s not the ‘National Movement,’ but Rustaveli Avenue, Paata Burchuladze, and in the end, they’ll blame the people who supposedly didn’t show up in sufficient numbers,” Berdia Sichinava stated.
As Sichinava noted, part of the opposition has “fallen into great folly” and must take responsibility for what happens on October 4.
“Any radical agenda will be sold in the West today as a failure of the opposition; the West isn’t considering any radical scenarios here. This is propaganda that ‘Dream’ feeds to its citizens like a sermon. In the ‘National Movement’ and other parties talking about radicalization, confrontation, and peaceful overthrow, they are in absurdity. Call these people on October 5, or even before October 5, and ask if they’ll take responsibility for what happens in this country on October 4. These are truly people ‘ordered from Temu,’ coming with a dirty past.
When you hear that Gakharia is preaching to you, he’s not preaching—he’s giving you advice because you’ve fallen into great folly, and for thirteen years, you’ve been doing the same insane thing, leading people in the same circle. These people need to come out of the wilderness and find the right path,” Sichinava stated.
Regarding the politicians who left the “Gakharia for Georgia” party, Berdia Sichinava stated that they were “short-term” projects.
“Respect to each of them, but as these individuals position themselves, they were short-term projects for this party. A short-term project has a beginning and an end. Thanks to them for their efforts, but this party doesn’t depend on either Teona Akubardia or Dimitri Tskitishvili,” Sichinava stated.
