It is very unfortunate when specific ambassadors and embassies encourage radicalism in Georgia, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to journalists, responding to a question about the visit of opposition politicians Giga Bokeria and Gia Baramidze to the British Embassy.
As Kobakhidze noted, this action damages the image of European countries.
“Unfortunately, several European embassies are directly involved in fueling radicalism in Georgia, and accordingly, they frequently meet with radicals, which is an unfortunate phenomenon. I will repeat once again that this greatly damages the image of the European Union and European countries in Georgia. Moreover, when you meet with parties regarding elections that are not even participating in the elections, it is even more incomprehensible.
It is very unfortunate when specific ambassadors and embassies encourage radicalism in Georgia. Of course, the public observes this, the public evaluates it, and I will repeat once again that all of this has a very negative impact on the image of European countries and European bureaucracy in Georgia,” Kobakhidze stated.
