Tina Bokuchava: After Levan Khabeishvili’s detention, I made identical statements multiple times, and I’m still waiting for Mdinaradze to explain why he hasn’t detained me on the same charges – this isn’t a demonstration of strength; it’s proof they’re ready to go to any lengths

“I made absolutely identical statements multiple times after Levan Khabeishvili’s detention, and I’m still waiting for Mdinaradze to explain why he hasn’t detained me on the same charges. In general, Ivanishvili has a paranoid fear of the Georgian people, especially an angry and united Georgian people, as we’ve seen multiple times on Rustaveli Avenue,” said Tina Bokuchava, the chairperson of the United National Movement.
According to her, any attempt to unite the Georgian people for change provokes fear in Bidzina Ivanishvili.
“Those who would side with the people and not raise a hand against peaceful protesters would be rewarded by the next government, after the end of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime, with a reward of 200,000. I made absolutely identical statements multiple times after Levan Khabeishvili’s detention, and I’m still waiting for Mdinaradze to explain why he hasn’t detained me on the same absurd charges. Precisely because of the absurdity of this charge, they had to come up with a new, equally absurd charge, which is of the same level of absurdity as the first one.
In general, Ivanishvili has a paranoid fear of the Georgian people, especially an angry and united Georgian people, as we’ve seen multiple times on Rustaveli Avenue—whether it was the anti-occupation protest on June 20, which Gakharia crushed, or the subsequent protests against the ‘Russian law.’ We’ve always seen an extremely frightened, rattled, confused, and failed dictator in Ivanishvili. Therefore, any statement or effort to unite the people for change triggers paranoid fears in Ivanishvili, leading him to initiate a chain of ridiculous, comical, and absurd actions, as we’ve seen multiple times—starting with Alexandre Chikaidze, who was searching for tires in my basement, and ending with the current SSS head, Mamuka Mdinaradze, who was trembling with fear in parliament when engaging in verbal discussions with us. This is not a demonstration of strength; on the contrary, it’s proof of their weakness, as well as their shamelessness, godlessness, and lack of patriotism. They are ready to go to any lengths and try to pit Georgian society against itself, divide it, and constantly keep people under false accusations, instead of having a government that defends Georgia’s dignified national interests and leads the country forward, toward prosperity, peace, and Europe,” Tina Bokuchava stated.
For reference, according to the State Security Service, Levan Khabeishvili, one of the leaders of the United National Movement, was detained for publicly promising financial rewards as bribes to public officials. He has been charged with promising a bribe to a public official to commit an illegal act and publicly calling for the overthrow of state authority.
