Khabeishvili was first given 3,000, then 5,000 GEL per month and he was ordered to commit a crime, he was made commit a crime and thus they doomed him to prison – such is the fate of an agent, – Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
According to the head of government, when a person becomes an agent, he is forced to take a step that harms him.
“I will repeat once again for everyone to hear that I do not advise anyone to become an agent. When you become an agent, you are forced to take a step that harms you. He was first given 3,000, then 5,000 GEL per month and he was ordered to commit a crime. He was made commit a crime and thus was doomed to prison. Such is the fate of an agent. The rest is a matter for investigation,” the Prime Minister said.
According to Kobakhidze, Levan Khabeishvili’s promise contains signs of a specific crime.
According to him, everything is very clear legally, but ultimately the court will establish the truth in this case.
As Kobakhidze noted, Levan Khabeishvili made a promise to everyone, anyone, who would take an anti-state step and oppose the state system.
When asked about the fact that opposition representatives draw a parallel between Levan Khabeishvili’s promise and the promise made by Bidzina Ivanishvili years ago, which meant allocating 5 million GEL to villages, the Prime Minister noted that “all this is funny.”
“As for 5 million, if you calculate how much was spent on rural settlements as a whole during these years – actually more than 5 million. If we look at how much was spent on non-urban rural settlements in the regional development sector, it is much more, if you take the average figure, than 5 million GEL, and this promise, like other promises, has been faithfully fulfilled.
As for Levan Khabeishvili’s promise, it contains signs of a specific crime, due to the fact that it is accompanied by concreteness. He made a promise to everyone, anyone, who would take an anti-state step and oppose the state system. The promise in this case is so specific that I think that legally everything is very clear, although ultimately the court will establish the truth in this case,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
