The tragedy that unfolded in America has shaken society around the world, including those people who had never heard of Conservative Speaker Charlie Kirk before, – Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, writes on social networks.
As Papuashvili notes, this murder once again clearly showed us the main tragedy – the ideologists and agitators who sow contempt, hatred, and strife, who distort the public space with fascist passion.
According to him, liberal fascism has succeeded and has given rise to similar groups in Georgia as well.
“The tragedy that unfolded in America shook society around the world, including those people who had never heard of Conservative Speaker Charlie Kirk before.
This murder once again clearly showed us the main tragedy – the ideologists and agitators sowing hatred, and strife, who distort the public space with fascist passion, cloud the minds of vulnerable people, turn them into dehumanized beings and not only potential, but also real troublemakers.
Liberal fascism was able to create similar groups in Georgia, which daily feed the environment of hatred and contempt. Just like Bolshevism from a century ago, its ideological successor, liberal fascism, is an ideology and practice implanted in us from the outside.
We see their networked actions every day. Everyone has their own function in the network of spreading hatred. Party and NGO media, using the methods of the “Thousand Hills Radio”, are busy replicating fascist-ideological speakers and inciting hatred towards opponents. Some donors call extremism civil activism and generously finance it. While some, geopolitically interested foreign politicians and diplomats, give complete carte blanche with encouragement, words and support.
This is how an environment of hatred is created that poisons our everyday lives, our children and our future. In order to cope with this terrible disease, more vigilance and more goodness are needed, which will inevitably overcome evil.
In our history, we have endured many conflicts and internal conflicts. The experience of our centuries-old culture is to know that evil is not cured by contempt, hatred, guillotine or cutting. It is cured by kindness and love. This is the root of our culture, which cannot be eradicated by foreign, imposed methods,” – writes Papuashvili.
Charlie Kirk was shot dead while giving a speech at Utah State University on Wednesday. The suspect in the murder has not yet been arrested.
