He is not an ambassador. This person has crossed all diplomatic relations, all red lines, – the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, said regarding the German Ambassador Peter Fischer.
According to Kaladze, the ambassador is directly interfering in Georgia’s internal political issues and is involved in the confrontation and division of society.
“As for the German ambassador, calling this person an ambassador may be a bit offensive to representatives and embassies of other countries. He is not an ambassador. This person has crossed all kinds of diplomatic relations, all kinds of red lines. He is involved in domestic political issues, in inciting public confrontation, extremism in order to divide society. It is very difficult when a representative of another country interferes in the domestic political affairs of the country. Let us also remember the parliamentary elections, what statements they made, what calls were made. They were involved in the election campaign. People gave these people, Georgian-hating so-called diplomats, an appropriate response – they defeated them in the parliamentary elections,” said Kakha Kaladze.
I had a good talk with the German Minister of State for Europe, Gunther Krichbaum. He expressed big concern about the direction of Georgia, – the German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, wrote earlier today on the social platform X.
According to him, the German Minister of State for Europe expressed the full support of the German government towards him as an ambassador.
“Of course, Germany rejects political violence. I have said so publicly in Georgia. To claim otherwise is untrue,” – the diplomat writes.
