According to the party “Gakharia for Georgia”, they remain in political boycott, and their position regarding the use of parliamentary mandates has not changed.
As stated in the announcement, addressing Parliament is a procedural matter, which they already went through 6 months ago.
“We remain in political boycott! Regarding the mandates, which is a subject already discussed many times, the situation has not changed!
This is a procedural issue, which we also went through 6 months ago (e.g., when filling out the declaration).
We remain in political boycott!” – reads the statement released by the party’s press office.
For reference, according to Imedi, “Gakharia for Georgia” has ended its boycott and is entering Parliament. As Imedi notes, eight alternates of the party’s suspended mandate holders have sent a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, stating that they have ceased activities incompatible with the status of an MP. According to Imedi, they are requesting Shalva Papuashvili to “act in accordance with the procedure established by law.”
