October 4 is a day of general public protest – the dictatorial regime must end and people must take power into their own hands in accordance with the Constitution, – said one of the leaders of the United National Movement, Levan Bezhashvili.
According to him, the United National Movement calls on its supporters and members to participate in the protest on October 4.
“October 4 is a day of general public protest, when the Georgian people will take to the streets and express their attitude towards the dictatorial regime that Ivanishvili has established. The fact is that in this country there is no longer a parliament, no laws, no courts, parties and public organizations are being abolished, all democratic signs have been practically abolished. The society has no choice but to take to the streets. October 4 is the date when, following the so-called elections and the Russian special operation, people will take to the streets and express their protest against the dictatorial regime in the country.
The society should know that October 4 is not a day organized by political parties. We, the United National Movement as a political party, call on our supporters, our party members to participate in the October 4 protest event, like all members of society, and naturally, we will be where the Georgian people are. We will also voice the protest of the Georgian people at the October 4 protest event. The goal of the October 4 protest is clear and unambiguous – the dictatorial regime must end. People must take power into their own hands in accordance with the Constitution. When the dictatorial regime ignores the people’s right to elections, to the court, when they abolish non-governmental organizations and political parties, laws are adopted based on what political field the Georgian Dream needs to clear. Naturally, when there is no justice, no legality in the country, people have both the obligation and the right to come out and express their protest. The dictatorial regime must end on October 4. The Georgian people do not deserve a dictatorial regime! – said Levan Bezhashvili.
