 Strong Georgia has nominated the Coalition’s mayoral candidates for the 2025 local elections in Samegrelo, Imereti and Guria. The nomination event was held in Zugdidi.
The mayoral candidates were nominated by the leaders of Strong Georgia, Aleko Elisashvili and Levan Samushia.
In Zugdidi, the candidate for mayor of Strong Georgia is Giorgi Todua;
In Khobi – Yuri Bukia;
In Chokhatauri – Nugzar Chkhikvadze;
In Kharagauli – Inga Maghradze;
In Samtredia – Badri Vashakidze.
As for the candidate for mayor of Khoni, the coalition’s mayoral candidate is Gela Bobokhidze. According to Aleko Elisashvili, he cannot attend today’s nomination for objective reasons, as he is not in Georgia.
As Aleko Elisashvili stated in his speech, they must work together towards a common goal.
“A very cool thing is that we have pre-election coordination with a very cool political group, which is our competitor, but we agreed with Giorgi Gakharia’s political team that a greater goal should unite us and that in moving towards this great goal, we should put our ambitions, egos aside, and rise above grievances. So far, Georgian politicians and political parties have shown the whole world, both enemies and friends, that we are world champions in cursing each other, Olympic champions in stepping on each other’s feet, insulting each other, but we must leave this time in the past if we have the ambition to take over the fate of Georgia, the government. Yes, we are the political team that has this ambition, first of all, Lelo-Strong Georgia and now we are in a coordinated mode with Gakharia’s political team and this is very good. We must show both our enemies and our friends that we must unite for Georgia,” Aleko Elisashvili said while presenting the candidates.
