The Parliament has recognized the mandates of 12 members of the Gakharia for Georgia party. The issue was supported at the plenary session of the Parliament.
According to the election list of the party Gakharia for Georgia, the replacement for the excluded member of parliament Dimitri Tskitishvili is Gela Abuladze, the replacement for Ana Buchukuri is Jemal Ananidze, the replacement for Beka Liluashvili is Ketevan Bakaradze, the replacement for Berdia Sichinava is Rusudan Tevzadze, the replacement for Teona Akubardia is Malkhaz Toria, the replacement for Natia Mezvrishvili is Shalva Kereselidze, the replacement for Levan Gogichaishvili is Salome Kobaladze, the replacement for Giorgi Gakharia is Giga Parulava, the replacement for Zviad Dzidziguri is Vika Pilpani, the replacement for Roin Kochorashvili is Giorgi Sharashidze, the replacement for Kakha Kemoklidze is Tamar Khvedeliani, and Zaza Tavadze’s replacement is Sofio Khorguani.
For information, the mandate of the Members of the Parliament of the Gakharia for Georgia” party was terminated after the end of the spring session, at an extraordinary session on July 2, on the grounds of absenteeism from sessions without good reason.
In total, the mandate of 61 opposition Members of Parliament was terminated in the 11th convocation Parliament. The opposition did not recognize the legality of the results of the 2024 parliamentary elections, the legitimacy of the Parliament and refused to be members of Parliament.
Unlike other political unions that have overcome the barrier, the Gakharia for Georgia party did not withdraw its electoral list. Accordingly, the issue of recognizing the successors of their excluded members was put on the agenda of the Parliament.
