The Chairperson of the “National Movement,” Tina Bokuchava, along with party leaders Zurab Chiaberashvili and Giorgi Baramidze, met with Poland’s Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski. This information was disseminated by the press service of the “National Movement.”
According to Tina Bokuchava, one of the topics discussed at the meeting was the threat of suspending visa-free travel and how to prevent this threat from affecting Georgian citizens.
“We have just concluded a meeting with Radosław Sikorski, Poland’s Foreign Minister, and we discussed two fundamental issues. The first is the threat of suspending visa-free travel and how to avert this threat for Georgian citizens, while ensuring that members of the regime—Bidzina Ivanishvili and his entourage – lose the opportunity for visa-free travel to any EU member state. The second fundamental issue is the release of President Mikheil Saakashvili, who was and remains a great friend of Poland and has played a significant role in Georgia’s European integration. Radosław Sikorski, as one of the foreign ministers of the Weimar Triangle alongside Germany and France, is a key figure and will play a decisive role in the final decision regarding visa-free travel, which concerns every Georgian citizen. Therefore, it is crucial that the European Union finds a mechanism that does not sanction Georgian citizens but targets Ivanishvili and his regime. This is possible, and we must continue working on it,” stated Tina Bokuchava.
