By the decision of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, athletes Sandro Bazadze and Eter Liparteliani will receive financial awards for winning first place at their respective championships.
According to a statement released by the Georgian Government Administration, the athletes will each receive 65,000 GEL.
“By the decision of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Sandro Bazadze, a member of the national fencing team, for winning first place at the 2025 World Fencing Championships, and Eter Liparteliani, a member of the women’s national judo team, for winning first place at the 2025 World Judo Championships, will be awarded financial prizes.
In accordance with the government decree signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the world champions will receive an additional 65,000 GEL each, alongside the financial prizes designated for achieving the highest sporting results,” the statement reads.
