According to the National Statistics Service of Georgia, in January-July 2025, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover in goods (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to USD 14,155.8 million, which is 10.3% higher than the same period in the previous year.
As reported by “Geostat,” exports totaled USD 3,845.1 million (a 9.0% increase), while imports reached USD 10,310.7 million (a 10.8% increase).
“Georgia’s negative trade balance in January-July 2025 amounted to USD 6,465.6 million, representing 45.7% of the total foreign trade turnover.
In January-July 2025, the share of the ten largest export partner countries accounted for 79.9% of Georgia’s total exports. The top three export partners were: Kyrgyzstan (USD 815.5 million), Kazakhstan (USD 494.8 million), and Russia (USD 412.0 million).
In January-July 2025, the share of the ten largest import partner countries accounted for 71.6% of Georgia’s total imports. The top three import partners were: Turkey (USD 1,556.2 million), the United States (USD 1,553.1 million), and Russia (USD 1,087.5 million).

According to “Geokstat”, in January-July 2025, among the commodity groups, light vehicles topped the export list with USD 1,478.9 million, accounting for 38.5% of total exports. Precious metal ores and concentrates ranked second with USD 202.9 million (5.3% of total exports), while alcoholic beverages came in third with USD 148.1 million (3.9%).
Additionally, it is noted that the largest imported commodity group in January-July 2025 was light vehicles, with imports amounting to USD 2,058.3 million, representing 20.0% of total imports. Petroleum and petroleum products ranked second with USD 727.6 million (7.1% of imports), while paintings, drawings, and pastels (handmade) came in third with USD 481.3 million (4.7% of imports).
