At the presentation of candidates for the local self-government elections by “Lelo – Strong Georgia” and “Gakharia For Georgia,” Tbilisi mayoral candidate Irakli Kupradze nominated Giorgi Sharashidze, a member of “Gakharia For Georgia,” as the candidate for chairperson of the City Council, Aleko Elisashvili, a member of “Lelo – Strong Georgia,” and Tata Khvedeliani, a member of “For Georgia,” as candidates for deputy mayors of Tbilisi.
According to Kupradze, every victory, every opportunity for building and doing good, can only exist through teamwork.
“We are preparing for the struggle where—I will not hesitate to use this word—we must wrest Tbilisi away, we must wrest Tbilisi away from injustice and lawlessness, we must wrest Tbilisi away from the Russian horde. We must be able to make this city free of drugs, we must be able to make this city free of hungry children, we must be able to make this city full of dignified work, dignified pay, and pensioners full of dignity who have real opportunities. In this struggle, we offer you precisely this team—let us join hands, and we will show you that we can do this. Long live a strong, European, and violence-free Tbilisi,” Kupradze said.
