“Divide and conquer – this is exactly what Ivanishvili is resorting to. Those who are not united are on Ivanishvili’s side!” said Paata Manjgaladze, one of the leaders of “Strategy Aghmashenebeli,” during a presentation of the 8-point unity plan by the party’s leader, Giorgi Vashadze.
As Paata Manjgaladze noted, unity is essential for success, and “we must not give the regime the opportunity to divide and fragment us.”
“Today, together with well-known public figures and representatives of society, we held a presentation of Giorgi Vashadze’s 8-point plan.
Giorgi Vashadze’s 8-point plan clearly states that we are the majority, and to achieve success, the unity of this majority is essential. We must not give the regime the opportunity to divide and fragment us. There’s a well-known saying—‘divide and conquer’—and this is exactly what Ivanishvili is resorting to. Those who are not united are on Ivanishvili’s side,” Manjgaladze stated.
As a reminder, the unity plan published by Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of “Strategy Aghmashenebeli,” is as follows:
“We unite political parties, public groups, and Salome Zurabishvili under a common brand; we agree on a decision-making process to ensure the integrity of the unity; we demonstrate significant advantage in sociological surveys—our goal is to show a substantial lead in surveys, and we have every opportunity to achieve this through unity; we launch a joint national campaign—conducted both online and in person, in Tbilisi and the regions; our goal is to register at least one million supporters in a special app (registration program); we organize a joint national gathering—we plan and hold a large-scale gathering called ‘One Million Georgians’; a decisive offensive may take place on October 4; we demand a transitional government that will hold new elections; if our demands are not met, we will launch a nationwide civil disobedience campaign to force them to schedule new parliamentary elections under fair rules,” the action plan states.
Paata Manjgaladze: Vashadze’s 8-point plan states that we are the majority, and unity is essential for success; we must not give the regime the opportunity to divide us – “Divide and conquer,” this is what Ivanishvili resorts to, and anyone who is not in unity is on Ivanishvili’s side
