**Russian Drone Attack Destroys Kyiv Warehouse, but Aid Efforts Continue**
A devastating attack by a Russian “kamikaze” drone has destroyed a warehouse in Kyiv that was storing humanitarian aid for Ukraine. The Blue/Yellow organization, which is based in Lithuania and provides crucial support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was not seriously affected by the attack.
According to reports from LRT, the warehouse was one of several temporary storage facilities used by Blue/Yellow to stockpile aid before sending it to the front lines. At the time of the strike, the premises were nearly empty, with only personal protective equipment (helmets and vests) for employees and medics stored there.
Fortunately, no people were harmed in the attack, and the organization has not suffered significant losses. Laura Paukste, director of Blue/Yellow, emphasized that despite the risks, their work will continue unabated. “We will continue to raise funds and send them to Ukraine’s defenders,” she said.
**The Reality of War**
This latest attack is a grim reminder of the harsh realities of war in Ukraine. The city of Kyiv has been subjected to heavy Russian attacks almost every night, with air raid sirens sounding continuously from 11pm until early morning. Representatives of Blue/Yellow stressed that these attacks highlight the conditions under which Ukrainians live and fight.
**Continuing Support**
Despite the risks and setbacks, Blue/Yellow remains committed to its mission. The organization is currently running a summer campaign called “Dronatonas,” which aims to raise 1 million euros for drones for Ukrainian defenders. Every euro donated goes towards purchasing equipment capable of protecting lives from attacks like the one that took place in Kyiv.
**A History of Support**
Since the beginning of the invasion, Blue/Yellow has purchased over 5,000 drones for Ukraine. Since its founding in 2014, residents of Lithuania have already donated a staggering 100 million euros to Ukraine through Blue/Yellow.
As the war continues, it is more important than ever that we stand with Ukraine and support their brave defenders. Let us continue to raise funds and provide aid to those who need it most.
