Over the past day, Russian attacks across several Ukrainian regions have resulted in at least five people being killed and 48 others injured. This is according to regional authorities who reported the information on July 17.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched a massive drone attack overnight, with 64 drones being sent into the air. Most of these were Shahed-type drones, but air defenses were able to shoot down 36 of them, primarily in northern and eastern Ukraine. Additionally, five decoy drones were either jammed or lost contact due to electronic warfare.

**Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Hit Hard**

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Governor Serhii Lysak reported that the city of Dnipro was targeted by massive drone strikes, resulting in one person being killed and five others injured. Fires broke out, and several enterprises were damaged.

The Nikopol district also saw Russian attacks, with five people being wounded as FPV (first-person-view) drones and Grad rocket systems were used. Infrastructure was damaged in the Synelnykove district, with a total of 10 people being injured in the oblast.

**Donetsk Oblast Sees Heavy Destruction**

In Donetsk Oblast, Governor Vadym Filashkin reported that four people were killed, three in Dobropillia and one in Zarichne. A further 29 others were injured in the attacks, which also damaged hundreds of houses, shops, and cars. The destruction was significant in Dobropillia.

**Other Regions Affected**

In Kherson Oblast, three people were wounded as Russia shelled numerous towns and villages throughout the day. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported that 10 houses and several civilian vehicles were damaged, including in the city of Kherson and Bilozerka.

Russian artillery struck the village of Bilozerka in the morning, wounding one more person. In Kharkiv Oblast, five people were injured in Russian strikes using a range of weapons, including guided bombs, rockets, Shahed drones, and FPV drones. Civilian infrastructure was hit in the Kupiansk and Izium districts.

**The Toll Continues to Rise**

These attacks are just the latest in a long line of incidents where Ukrainian civilians have been caught in the crossfire. As the conflict continues to escalate, it’s becoming increasingly clear that innocent lives are being put at risk on a daily basis.
