**Georgia’s Opposition Parties Under Fire for Cooperating with “Georgian Dream”**
In a scathing attack on the parties Gakharia for Georgia and Lelo – Strong Georgia, the political secretary of the United National Movement, Giorgi Baramidze, has labeled their decision to cooperate in the upcoming local elections as a “shameful act”. The two parties signed a memorandum of cooperation today, sparking outrage among opposition circles.
According to Baramidze, the election results will be predetermined by Bidzina Ivanishvili and his allies from the ruling party, Georgian Dream. He claimed that whatever concessions or benefits Ivanishvili offers to Gakharia for Georgia or Lelo – Strong Georgia, those parties will get exactly what they are promised. This, Baramidze argued, is not a real election, but rather a predetermined outcome designed to maintain the status quo.
**”A Betrayal of the Georgian People’s Struggle”**
Baramidze was particularly critical of Gakharia for Georgia and Lelo – Strong Georgia for their decision to participate in what he termed a “Russian-style operation”. He accused them of betraying the Georgian people’s struggle against the treacherous Russian regime, which has been accused of manipulating Georgian politics.
“It is clear that participating in this Russian operation, joining the Georgian Dream’s games and schemes, is not fighting back – on the contrary, it is a betrayal of the Georgian people’s struggle,” Baramidze said.
**”2+2=4: The Election Results Will Be Written by Bidzina Ivanishvili”**
Baramidze emphasized that taking part in this “Georgian Dream” game or scheme is not joining a struggle, but rather betraying the Georgian people. He pointed out that participating parties will get whatever benefits they are promised by Ivanishvili and his allies, with no regard for actual public support.
“It’s 2+2=4,” Baramidze said. “The election results will be written by Bidzina Ivanishvili and his gang. Whatever he throws them – whether Lelo or Gakharia – that’s exactly what they will get.”
**A Message to the Parties Involved**
Baramidze’s message was clear: participating parties must come to their senses before it’s too late and avoid disrupting unified opposition efforts against the Russian regime. He urged Georgians to stand together against this regime, warning that continued cooperation with “Georgian Dream” would only lead to further betrayal of the people.
