**Former Georgian Official’s Mysterious Letter Sparks Investigation**
A letter found at the scene of Tornike Rizhvadze, the former head of Adjara government, has raised questions about his motives for attempting suicide. The letter, which has been confirmed to be connected to Rizhvadze, accuses him of corruption and protecting drug traffickers.
Davit Matikashvili, a deputy from “Georgian Dream,” was asked by journalists who was making these allegations against Rizhvadze. He responded that the investigation will provide answers to these questions, urging people not to jump to conclusions based on speculation.
“We don’t have any more specific information about the letter, and this is not a topic for public discussion,” Matikashvili said.
**The Incident**
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Rizhvadze secretly took a firearm belonging to Alexi Akhvelediani, brought it to a bedroom designated for guests, and shot himself in the chest with the intent of suicide. This incident occurred on July 6 in Sagarejo.
