**Russia’s Continued Aggression: 6 Civilians Killed, 22 Injured in Ukraine**

The past day has seen a surge in Russian attacks across Ukraine, with at least six civilians killed and 22 others injured. The assaults were reported by regional authorities on July 6.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russian forces launched four S-300 anti-aircraft missiles and 157 Shahed drones from various locations within Russia against Ukraine overnight. While Ukraine’s air defense systems shot down 98 drones, the attacks resulted in significant casualties across several regions.

**Regional Breakdown of Attacks**

In Kharkiv Oblast, Russian forces attacked 13 settlements, killing two people and injuring 11 others. The village of Odnorobivka saw an 8-year-old boy killed, while a 3-year-old boy, a 40-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman suffered injuries.

In the town of Kupiansk, a 59-year-old man was killed, while a 56-year-old man, a 57-year-old woman, and two women aged 65 were injured due to Russian strikes. The regional capital, Kharkiv, saw a 46-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl suffer injuries.

In Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces killed one person in the town of Myrnohrad, and another person was killed in the village of Andriivka, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. In Andriivka, two people suffered injuries, as did two more in Siversk, and one in Pokrovsk.

**Other Regions Affected**

Kherson Oblast saw Russian forces target 32 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson, resulting in two deaths and three injuries, according to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast reported an injured 39-year-old woman due to Russian attacks on Nikopol district.

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a Russian strike injured an 89-year-old woman in the village of Yurkivka. Kyiv Oblast saw a 35-year-old man suffer shrapnel wounds from a Russian attack on the Vyshhorod district.

**Russian Economic Pressure**

As Ukraine continues to face intense pressure from Russia, Western sanctions are taking their toll on the Russian economy. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that “Russia is reconstituting itself at a pace and a speed which is unparalleled in recent history.”

The statement comes as explosions near Russia’s Vladivostok damaged a gas pipeline and destroyed a water pipeline supplying military facilities in the area.

**Ukraine’s Resilience**

Despite the increasing aggression, Ukraine remains committed to defending its territory. President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed the importance of Patriot missiles in protecting against ballistic threats, while Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported Russian troops escalating assaults in certain sectors.

The people of Ukraine continue to show remarkable resilience in the face of adversity. As European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said, “Who is behind those attacks is clear to all of us here.”
