**Russian Logistics Hub Burning in Occupied Luhansk Oblast Amid Drone Attack**
A Russian logistics hub in the occupied Luhansk Oblast is on fire after a reported drone attack overnight on July 1. The attack was confirmed by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the center for disinformation.
According to local media reports and videos shared online, the drone attack targeted the Russian logistics hub, causing significant damage and fires. Russian state media reported that over 20 drones were flying over Luhansk Oblast, citing Russian proxies in the region.
This is not the first time Ukraine’s military has struck at Russian targets using drones. In June, Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) destroyed three Russian air defense systems using drones in the occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The attack successfully targeted a Buk-M3, a Pantsyr S1, and a 9S19 Imbir radar from the S-300V air defense system.
The use of drones by Ukraine’s military is a significant development in the ongoing conflict with Russia. By targeting Russian military equipment and infrastructure deep within occupied territories, Ukraine is attempting to diminish Moscow’s fighting power and disrupt its ability to wage war.
The fire at the logistics hub in Luhansk Oblast is a further example of this strategy in action. While the full extent of the damage is still unknown, it is clear that Ukraine’s military is using drones effectively to strike at Russian targets.
As the conflict continues, we can expect to see more such attacks by Ukraine’s military. The question remains, however, whether these efforts will be enough to shift the balance of power in favor of Kyiv.
