**Russian Attacks on Kherson Oblast Leave 7 Injured and Infrastructure Damaged**
In a shocking turn of events, Russian forces have launched devastating attacks on multiple settlements in Kherson Oblast, Ukraine. Between June 20th and 21st, the region was subjected to drone attacks and artillery strikes, leaving seven people injured.
The city of Kherson, which serves as the administrative center of Kherson Oblast, was among the targets. According to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin, Russian forces launched a coordinated attack on multiple settlements across the oblast. The list of targeted areas is staggering, including Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Vesele, Darivka, Zmiivka, Zorivka, Kizomys, Lvove, Mykolaivka, Novoberyslav, Novokairy, Olhivka, Poniativka, Sadove, Sofiivka, Tiahynka, Chervonyi Maiak, and Chervonyi Yar.
The attacks have caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure. Two apartment buildings, 14 private homes, outbuildings, a garage, and several cars were damaged or destroyed in the strikes. This is not an isolated incident; Kherson Oblast has been repeatedly targeted by Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion.
**A Pattern of Aggression**
Kherson Oblast’s strategic location, just north of Russian-occupied Crimea, makes it a crucial target for Russian forces. The repeated attacks on this region demonstrate a disturbing pattern of aggression and disregard for civilian lives. As Ukraine continues to fight for its sovereignty, the international community must take note of these brazen attacks.
**The Human Cost**
Seven people were injured in the latest attacks, and many more have been displaced or affected by the damage to their homes and livelihoods. The true extent of the suffering will only become clear as reports continue to emerge from the ground.
As we speak, the people of Kherson Oblast are bracing themselves for further attacks. The international community must stand in solidarity with Ukraine and condemn Russia’s actions unreservedly.
