**Russian Drone Attack on Ukraine: Cities Hit, Civilians Injured**
In the early hours of June 14th, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack on Ukraine, sending 58 Shahed-type drones into the air. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that their defenses neutralized 43 of these drones, including 23 shot down by fire and 20 suppressed or lost through electronic warfare.
**Zaporizhzhia Hit Hardest**
The city of Zaporizhzhia was hit hardest in this attack, with 14 Shahed drones targeting residential neighborhoods. The strikes damaged multiple buildings, a public transport stop, and a store, as well as destroying a humanitarian aid warehouse. Three people were injured in the attack, including two police officers and a 62-year-old woman.
**Humanitarian Aid Warehouse Destroyed**
Oleksandr Belyuha, head of an NGO that operated the destroyed warehouse, spoke out about the devastating impact of the attack. “This is our main warehouse,” he said. “We’ve been helping people for three years. We provided humanitarian aid: food, hygiene products. Now everything is destroyed.”
**Other Cities Affected**
In addition to Zaporizhzhia, other cities were also hit by Russian drone attacks. In Kharkiv Oblast, four direct hits were reported in the city of Izium, causing damage to residential and administrative structures. However, no injuries were reported in this attack.
**Sumy Oblast Suffers Intense Shelling**
Russian forces struck Sumy Oblast nearly 70 times over a period of just one day, targeting multiple settlements in nine communities. Most of these attacks occurred in the Sumy Raion region, and included the use of drone-dropped VOG grenades and air-dropped KAB bombs.
**Kherson Oblast Also Hit**
In Kherson Oblast, five people were injured as a result of Russian attacks over the past 24 hours. Airstrikes and artillery fire damaged multiple buildings and vehicles in this region.
**Donetsk Oblast Reports One Death and Two Injuries**
Russian strikes on Donetsk Oblast resulted in one civilian death and two injuries on June 13th. These attacks continue to put a strain on Ukrainian cities, with civilians caught in the crossfire.
Despite these ongoing attacks, efforts to negotiate an end to the conflict continue. US President Donald Trump has been pushing for talks between Kyiv and Moscow, but these efforts have yet to yield results.
**Everything is Gone**
The humanitarian aid warehouse destroyed in Zaporizhzhia serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian cities. As Oleksandr Belyuha so poignantly put it, “everything is gone.”
