Kote Ioseliani, a former member of the “National Movement,” has spoken publicly about his terrifying experience being abducted by masked individuals. In an interview with Inter Press News, Ioseliani recounted how he was attacked near his home, forced into a car, and subjected to eight hours of pressure.
**A Politically Motivated Act**
Ioseliani is convinced that the abduction was a politically motivated act, intended to silence him or make him do something against his will. He has accused the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of failing to protect citizens, saying he has zero trust in the institution.
**A Message for Uta Ivanishvili**
In a bold move, Ioseliani addressed Uta Ivanishvili, the son of “Georgian Dream’s” honorary chairman, Bidzina Ivanishvili. He invited Ivanishvili to discuss the matter personally, calling him to speak directly with him.
**A Well-Planned Special Operation**
Ioseliani described the abduction as a well-planned special operation, led by special services that have the means to intercept communications and conduct surveillance. He claimed that several calls were made, and he agreed to communicate with his abductors, only to be asked to send a voice message saying everything was fine.
**A Form of Intimidation**
Ioseliani’s wife, Tina Bokuchava, chair of “Unity – National Movement,” had earlier stated that her husband was subjected to eight hours of pressure and threatened with harm to their children. The former politician believes this was an attempt to intimidate him into silence or compliance.

Ioseliani has expressed his skepticism about the MIA’s ability to conduct a genuine investigation into the incident. He urged the public to hold the institution accountable, saying that he does not trust them to ensure people’s safety.
